Copacetic Cosmetics ~ Labor Day Mystery Bag, Anything & Everything

For Labor day, Copacetic Cosmetics offered three mystery bag options, I chose the “Anything & Everything” option.  I paid $35 + 8.97 shipping.

Here’s what I got, I think I got a really nice mix of item types.

BBQ Sauce is a liquid lipstick that I received a sample of from June 2022’s Soul Food collection.  Yes, it smells absolutely delicious, lol.  Anyway, they promise to peek at your wishlist and do their best to try to include a few things to give your bags that special touch, this was on my list because I enjoyed the little sample and planned to grab a full size when I got the chance.  It’s a cool, brown-toned red.

Pina Colada is a golden shimmery gloss and man, I love anything pineapple so this was a great choice.

Memory Lane is a multi-chrome eyeshadow (description says pink/blue/green/purple, link to swatches) and wow, so pretty.

Cove was on my wishlist as well, it’s described as a teal-gold/blue-blue shifting shimmer and it invokes memories of sunlight on the ocean waves for me.

Both different, both really nice.

The Polishes really nailed it, they’re perfect.

Act Your Wage is a Labor Day release and I added this to my wishlist the same day.  They did say something from the Labor Day release would be included and this is what I would have picked!  It’s a sparkly multi-chrome that’s green/teal/blue/purple with holo powder added in.  It seems like it’s semi-sheer in the swatches and looks different if you apply it over a solid base color.

Radioactive Pumpkin.  I can’t find this on their website at all, so I’m not sure if that means it’s a discontinued shade or something else, but it’s so vibrant.  It’s genuinely gorgeous, an electric red-orange.  Maybe one of my all time favorite shades I’ve received from Copacetic.

I really don’t think I could possibly get a better mystery bag if I picked it myself.

Copacetic Cutie November 2022 ~ CandyLand

The Bag

A swatch of the Lipstick, Candy Castle.  This is a surprisingly subtle pink, but the multi-color sparkle in person is fairly spectacular.

Close-up of the eyeshadow, Ice Cream Sea.  Interestingly, this looks very different in pan than it does in the official swatches where it’s described as “A shimmery iridescent pale blue with rainbow shimmers.

Okay, I’m not a fan of pink, but man is this Gumdrop Mountains polish pretty.  I’m a big fan of their glitter polishes  too, always special.

The surprise item. King Kandy Glitter.  Not really a fan of sparkle on my face, but I do have an art project this might be perfect for, so it all works out.  I was really hoping for the Gingerbread body lotion, but I seem to have bad luck with surprise items, they’re usually very nice, but not something I’ll use.  (Big exception being the perfume in June’s Soul Food theme, that was great.)

I actually completely missed the customizable window for this month, but the only thing I would have chose differently was the polish (and the surprise, but that’s not how it works).  I would have chosen Queen Frostine, a pretty blue-teal that glows in the dark.

Really fun theme and I enjoy this subscription a lot.

Ipsy Mystery Bag ~ July 2022

July looked like a great month,  the bag was super cute (that starfish pull!) and the spoilers all seems like exactly my kinds of products.  However, we were in the process of selling our first house, so we had to cut all unnecessary spending.  I told myself I’d snag a mystery bag when they were eventually available.  (Separate from the actual subscription.)  Now, the thing about Ipsy mystery bags is that the most important thing is that you like the bag, because they’re uncustomized, it’s a total gamble.

 - Cliv Premium, Max Hyaluronic Propolis Foaming Cleanser 30mL
 - Item Beauty, Lite Sauce Balancing Gel Moisturizer 15mL
 - Balance Me, AHA Glow Mask 10mL
 - Dermelect, Smooth & Supple Lip Mask Melt 5mL
 - PYT Beauty, Warm Lit Nude Mini Quad

Now, there’s nothing wrong with any of these products, but they’re not the products I was feeling FOMO over.  Bummer.  I will use them eventually because I try not to be wasteful.  I am nervous about that cleanser though because I have had a string of bad luck with the cleansers Ipsy sends me, they all seem to trigger a reaction. Somehow I’ve managed to acquire 3-4 of the Dermelect lip mask, so I hope I like it! *laughs*

Why am I doing this?

Boredom mostly.

I’m not real great at blogging, but sometimes I’d like to talk about things I get in subscriptions I have.  Oddly, posting in a forum feels like looking for attention (not that it is for other people, it just feels that way for me.), but making a blog does not.  I think it’s due to the fact that maybe no one will ever even see my posts here, which is something I’m comfortable with.

Anyway. so what triggered this was my Ipsy Plus reveal this month.  (I did choose 3/5 products.)

Ipsy chose Araceli Beauty Mascara and Dr Zenovia Hyaluronic Acid Peptide Serum.  Both make sense as I love mascara and serums, however I have a bit of a backlog.  Which mostly came from Ipsy, but their algorithm doesn’t guarantee you won’t get too many of things you enjoy.  Better than a highlighter or brow product, but a bit of a bummer that I won’t be able to open it right away.  The rest of my choices are things I enjoy, but also have several of.  I think it might be because I’m very boring.  I get curations that I like a lot but they tend to be very similar.

I’m looking forward to trying it all out soon, although I will probably use the ClarityRX Lactic Acid Solution first.
